Of 2009 NY eve & more singing
I am leeching internet off my neighbour now, though I don't know who. So I cant blog long, in case the connection gets cut off. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all! :)
I went for 'watch night' this year, at a fren's house. Lotsa church frens went as well. Since I didn't get to do a song for Christmas, so I did one during NY eve. My voice still hasnt recovered, so I kinda felt I screwed up the song... But, i guess a singer is nvr satisfied with his/her voice.. Other ppl actually came up to me and said it was quite a not bad performance (including other singers). Hmmm.. I shud learn how to LET GO and accept compliments. Lol. Anyway, it sounded nicer also cos another fren of mine (Gavin) was singing as well! He has a good voice, and also, he did the harmonizing part too. Ahhh. It went so well together. Hehehe! Thanks Sel, for suggesting that Gav sing together with me! Hehhehe...
Lol. I normally don't blog and 'compliment' myself. But I cant go about restructuring all my sentences cos I have limited time here. Just to say I was glad I did a song & that I thot I sucked, but apparently i didn't suck that bad. Haha. Glad almost everyone enjoyed it & that God made me sing for Him! :)
Have a good one everyone! Happy back to work / school! Heheh! ;P *grin*
Wow. Feels likes weeks since I updated my blog. Perhaps it is so. Since I am not looking back at when was my last post :P
How's everyone? I'm happy I practiced a bit of our annual dinner performance song the other day. Spent few hrs. Was a lilll bit tiring, but it was fun! Hehehe...
Recently busy with our C2U Christmas Carnival as well. Who lives near Subang Jaya OR doesn't mind going to SJ this Sunday??
We're having a Carnival with loads of activities -- F&B, henna, balloon sculpture, games, etc!! And the best part is, the coupons u buy will ALL be donated to WAO (Women's Aid Organisation)! No middle person taking a cut off the "profit"! .. Mix FM aired bout this carnival, and it was also published on the newspapers.
So, so, so... Come and enjoy urselves on 14th Dec (Sunday) from 2 - 7pm! .. We'll be at the 'padang' near Sekolah Menengah Subang Jaya (SMSJ).
Ok, a quick one. Our first choir performance was at AYA Dream Awards Night @ KLPAC. We did quite well, so all's good. :)   I liked the place. So grand! From the outside till the backstage. Felt so grand. :D   other performances were nice too! Sad we missed it cos we were backstage! =\\
And then, I need to sleep. HAha. Nites. Very busy lately. Hope can write soon! Tas
Hey all, just to say HI! I'm almost getting confirmed (at work), (higher mgmt) boss thinks I'm ready to take on more tasks. Looking forward to it. Erm, what else. Choir's OK. I've joined nicer sounding choirs, prolly cos we lack guidance here.. I dunno. Or everyone's just too good to wana harmonize properly with each other (and not fighting to sing louder than each other :P).
(Sorry, no time to "sugar coat" today). HAha :P
Oh yea! I actually performed 2 solo songs in the past month! But i didn't really like how I sounded (especially the 2nd time). But when ppl say it's nice, I can't say "NO, DONT COMPLIMENT ME!". HHAhaha. That would be totally weird!
Imagine someone smiling and feeling so happy, running towards the performer who just finished performing a song. With great joy, she says "you were great!" and the performer frowns and says "What? U call that great?? I could've done better!"
HAHahhaha..
Yea, u can tell I'm rushing for time, huh.. The way I write's not me. HAhaha.. I meant in the way that there's not much elaboration. I know I still say silly things / am lame in my way. :P   ANYWAY, later! Have a great weekend ahead! =)
Oh no, It's 12 now! I need to sleep. LOL. Okok, brief updates.
Did I tell u bout my fren's wedding? Oh, I tell u. Good thing it turned out quite ok! The bride asked me to sing "From This Moment On" for her on her wedding day, and when I was practising, I was so afraid that I would sing the song with no emotion! (Prolly cos I practiced it too many times).. But seriously, thank God that it turned out well. *Phew*!
Boss is still not-so-easy to deal with. Sometimes wonder why does she need to be so serious. Isn't "interpersonal skills" more important NO MATTER WHERE & WHAT UR DOING? .. Without this skill, you wont be able to work with others, rite? Sigh. Dunno what to say la. I really dunno why would she wana be not-easy-to-deal-with... =(
Erm erm.. I think I better head off to bed anyhow. Pray for my wellbeing, ok? Thanks loads! =)
Hey ppl! How was the China Olympics opening ceremony?? They just WOW-ed us with their numbers, rite??? Haha.. Wow.. But I missed the count-down part, and now even with ASTRO i don't know when's the repeat!! How can ASTRO not have any repeat of the OPENING CEREMONY?!!? Right??....... For once what they are famous for would be useful but it doesn't apply here... Sigh....
Anyway, life's good in some ways, and alright in others. I recently joined the AYA choir to perform on AYA Dream Awards Night. Really looking forward to it! =)
Met up with quite a bitta old friends these few weeks. Been nice. But hopefully it won't drain my moneyyyy. Hahaha.. ;P
How's everyone? (I mean those who are still reading. Haha)
