Friend KIDNAPPED! ; Grouping difficulties..

Ok. This time I have more to say. But they are both not related.

My friend was KIDNAPPED !!
It was just a few days before his birthday. It all happened near his house (one of the busy areas in Petaling Jaya). I only knew this, because I called him yesterday.. I was really shocked. Still am. I don't know what to say, but I sure am THANKFUL that he's still alive. He survived. THANK GOD!!

I'll tell u the brief story. The strangers stopped and asked for directions. It all happened so fast that my friend got dragged into the vehicle. (Yeah, the common tactics. *sigh*). My friend was locked up & blind-folded for 2 days. The kidnappers took his belongings (and his bank $$). They beat him on & off, releasing tension on him too. I know they are BAD people, but still, they are KIND to let him go. My friend said he thought he was going to die. They seemed like they wanted to kill him already.

Really, thank you, you kidnappers! Terima kasih! But I do hope they'd stop doing these horrible things already. This incident made me think "What is this?? Is staying at home the best solution to all outside dangers??".. But, NO WAY! How can someone just lock him / herself at home forever??!?! It's so NOT right. It's too extreme. *sigh*.. Seriously, we need to be VERY careful. Very very careful. =\\\.

College @ Group work - how what who??
I didn't tell you, but I am a new student at my medium sized college. I am also new to a degree course, because I was previously doing a professional course. So as many of you know, we have many group assignments in a degree.

The lecturers asked us to form a group to do our assignments. As a new student (where else all others in class are my seniors), I really couldn't decide on which & how to group.. (We're supposed to form groups that consists juniors & seniors, u see). Also, I won't know who's able to guide me OR whether they already have THEIR OWN groups. (Cos' you see, there might be class politics as well. I duwana be involved, if possible.. =P)

This afternoon, during lunch time, they were discussing among a few people about who's gona join whose group and all. I was just listening, and somehow, they made me a little frightened. I was afraid that I'd be grouping with ppl who wouldn't know how to do a proper assignment OR people whom I basically won't learn anything from (and again, because I'm new, bla bla blah.. =P).

I understand that sometimes you'd have to group with more "troublesome" / less co-operative people, who MIGHT pull your grades down. I really do. But this time, I was really afraid. About something else. So I had to say something. I said this to them: "Just as long as I'm grouping with people who'd know what to do. Because I don't know what a degree assignment is like".

Guess what?? =P. I think it sounded funny, weird.. I hope they didn't think that I was irritating OR anything close to that. I just wanted to make sure. I want to get good grades. I need guidance. So ---> I need at least ONE good student on my side, actually. But of course, I didn't say that. I can't ask for it.. I think? =P. They have their connections, etc, and I'm still getting used to their sort of "cliques". It isn't THAT complicating, just small matters here and there, but I still have to watch out & observe. Meanwhile, what do u think? My request to them was nothing rite? Or I can use some paraphrasing? =P

*sigh* Things you face trying to fit in, when MOST people are already in their comfort zones. My first time, man. It's hard to explain. So.. =P. Tata~!

Monday, July 26, 2004 :::

My thoughts, this week

Hey ya'll.

I've been quite busy the past few days. Been to classes, went present shopping, attended two 21st birthday parties, and attended workshops too.

I learnt / got to know that:

#1. There's a girl whose freedom is worse than mine, and she's a year older. Her parents are also overly protective + aren't open to "changes", not till she's married. =\\.
#2. My friend who's quite popular has a girlfriend already.
#3. And most of his friends (that I know) has girlfriends too, and were busy with them. (Don't think dirty! =P). That was why me & sis were quite bored at the beginning of the party.
#4. I dislike too academically focused stuffs. It's a lil too theoritical.
#5. I can aim & throw darts at the bulls eye.
#6. I haven't turned thattt ugly after all.
#7. I've to face scary @ moody people every week, for at least 2 more years.

Emotions ; RO -ing

Apparently I'm (often) underestimating myself.. Am I? =P. Convince me.. =P

I realised that I actually miss MY a lot, eventhough I think I'm not (so much). Also, I don't show it that much. *sigh*.. ;P

Alwin (glowing) helping me. Haha.. ;)). I'm the one with green hair. =P
~ More screenshots: here (2 & 3).

I've been playing RO these 3-4 days. Seriously a know-least-things-beginner. And I thought that Alwin had great patience. Guess why? =P. I ask SO many questions, including HOW to drop items / store them / what strengths to focus on / which menu to look at / what to press / etc. Haha.. *sigh*. Now I feel bad. =P. I hope he doesn't get too stressed, becos he has to show me EVERYthing and no time to RO himself. =P

Feeling sleepy now. I want to sleep. Pray for me peeps. Thanks 1st ar! ;))

* Something you should know:
When ur car is crashing into a river / big drain, PLEASE wind down ur windows before it is too late (!). Reason is, if u don't, you will be STUCK in the car and chances of survival will be minimal. The suction of water would be too strong for u to open the doors OR break the windows, to escape. Take note peeps! ;)

Finally, we met

Yay! Blogger has changed it's interface / menu a bit. Haha! Not that I use them a lot anyway. They've made it more HTML friendly already. Which I don't utilise it anway.. Come to think of it, I don't like their changes!! Argh. I'm selfish, cos I don't wish that blogger becomes MORE populated. It means more chances of having much problems in the future. Oh no! =(

Oh, people. Did I tell you how cute my darling is? Haha! =P

I FINALLY met up with Alwin today yesterday. When I spotted him, I wanted to scare him from behind actually, but was afraid that I identified the wrong person (cos I saw his back only). Good thing I didn't eh, Alwin? =P I think Alwin's on the quiet side, will only voice his thoughts @ opinions when necessary. Or may be because I'm too much of a talketive person, that he had to be quieter? *LoL*. It was so nice of him! He passed me the Ragnarok Online CD to install it on my comp! MUAHAHAHA!! =PP. Not to mention, he (more of his parents actually) offered me a ride to the bus stop! Yay! Really needed it. =)). I HAD to go home much earlier, because I was practically falling asleep! Sorry Alwin.. I don't know why I was that tired!

One more thing. On the way to the bus stop, Alwin suddenly remembered that he wanted to take pictures of our meet up. Haha.. Just wanna say this to Alwin: I reaaaally didn't mind taking pics (last minute) in the car, you know? Hehe.. =p

A funny encounter?

Haha.. Dad fetched me to class today. On my way there, we took the roundabout. Suddenly a lorry cut out. Really wrong timing man. And of course, WE had the right of the way.

Anyway, this lorry just came out, and blocked the traffic. My dad was quite annoyed, so he stared at the lorry driver. The driver just continued driving like nothing happened. Out of my expectations, he popped his head out of the windows (they were wound down). He actually looked back at my dad, and... STICKED HIS TONGUE OUT!

HAHahahahahHAHAHahahaha

What a joke! I was thinking "What a silly, childish act!" HAha.. Imagine that u have irritating little brothers / sisters who just LOVE to annoy you. They'll have the guts to stick out their tongues and make this sound, "plllllrrtttt", at you, eventhough they were clearly in the wrong. *LoL*. This incident reminded me of little rascals. Haha..

That was the first time I saw an adult make that face on the road. Of course, it didn't piss me off that much also. May be it's a good thing that he did that, instead of sticking out his middle finger or something, eh? ;D

The new website

I feel like blogging at the new domain already. It's quite troublesome trying to upload all the pics (or files) onto a free server, when we already bought one (or something like that). But I just can't now. It isn't ready yet. And I'm not gona reveal it unless it is. =P

I said I was gona upload a wav file of my singing, remember? I'm quite lazy to do so now. So can I just NOT record it? =P

Oh, and guess what? Haha.. I think I'm gona try playing RO anyway. Just for fun. I know I won't get addicted to it. =P

I also miss talking to one of my good online friend. Wonder how is he doing now. He used to talk bout many things. Now, bla bla bla. Haha. Nevermind. Just telling u guys my personal story only. =P

The time came..

He has left. On his way to the W place in Australia now. Have a safe flight, my dear!

I nearly cried. If I was there alone, I'm sure I would have (cried). His mum nearly made me cry out also. But what's the difference anyway? I still felt a little 'sad' (please find me a more suitable word to use! =P). And I'm still gonna miss him. =P. Oh welll...

That's all for now. Just wanted to say that, I saw him off and I miss him. Nites peeps!

Mmmm... See you..

I checked my eyes (power) today. My power increased. My vision has worsened, officially.. =(

I use the computer too much. Hmph..

MY's vision's perfect. I hate him.. >_<. *LoL*.. Sorry, I was being childish. I'm talking nonsense. And just forget this whole paragraph. It means nothing. *LoL*

Just wanted to tell u guys again, that I added this symbol Reading blogs at work? Click to escape to a suitable site!, for the benefit of those reading my blog at work / classes. It's located right ABOVE my TAGBOARD a.k.a SHOUTBOX. An "escape route" for you guys. Hehe..

Anyway, I had a very nice & filling dinner today. Thanks to MY. =). Go try it. Food's moderately priced (I think). It's the (name of restaurant): 18-20th Century, Restoran Jatee, at Taman Tun Dr Ismail. No pics for u to recognise, sorry. =P

*sigh*. MY's gona be heading back to Australia on Saturday (today). I'm missing him already. Hope I won't cry at the airport. Hehe.. =P

Come back for PHOTOs - Ready.

*sigh*.. No sign of my lipgloss yet. Don't think I'll ever get it back. Just because of my careless-ness. =\.

Added this symbol Reading blogs at work? Click to escape to a suitable site!, for the benefit of those reading my blog at work. It's located right ABOVE my TAGBOARD a.k.a SHOUTBOX. The symbol's an escape route - So you'll not risk getting fired for reading my blog at work. Click on it, and set ur own safe site OR fake work sheet. It helps a little, you know. Haha.. ;P

I'll upload some photos later tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned! x))

I promised to blog more about the concert? So hear me. The concert was good enough for me. Richie Jen appeared at about 8.20pm. And the stadium was full. He had a few themes (dancers / dance moves, suits, show). For example, he was singing a few songs with a cowboy theme once. Oh, and you know what? He also incorporated some Malaysian culture (theme or show) into his performances. Sorry if you don't get me, I don't know how to explain it to you.. =P.

As you know, I'm quite curious - why did he change his name "Ren" to "Jen". I thought he might reveal it in his concert, but he didn't. Oh well.. Also, when we (audience) shouted "encore", Richie Jen didn't entertain us. I wonder why. Is it his style? Because he sang some chinese Auld Lang Syne alike song, before he left the stage. If you know why (he didn't entertain the crowd), do tell. ;)). But ok -lar. His concert lasted for 2 hours plus. =). If you ask me what made the concert interesting, it'll be his themes, his charm, and his sense of humour. Heeh! ;))

GIVE me BACK my stuff, you ...

I...S...H...

I bought a lipgloss from The BodyShop which I liked a lot. It costs RM35. And.... I lost it, at Coffee Bean, Genting First World Plaza...

Anyway, yes. I'm back from Genting already. Quite a nice trip. Visited 2 casino(s) for the first time. Saw many new things and understood more about casino gamblings, their CCTV thingies (*LoL*), etc.

Oh ya. Someone dropped (lost) her handphone. We saw it, picked it up. Guess what?? It was a Sony Ericsson z600!! I think. I was like:
"OMG! Such a nice phone, and someone dropped it?!?!!!?? Goodness!! How can?!!?! Why so careless???!!????!".

Good thing that they were still at Genting. Very nearby. She came and claimed back her phone. They looked very anxious and were very grateful. ;))

Ah. And the concert was nice.

Don't feel like blogging much.

I WANT MY LIP GLOSS BACK!! =(((

More later.

Where are all the good food?

I actually do not know what to blog about. Haha.. Let me see...

Been seeing MY quite often these days. Not daily, but frequent enough, I suppose. He's going back in about 1 week plus's time. *sigH*.. One month is really not enough. Of course it isn't. Becos even 2 months plus isn't enough. =P. Sorry if you lost me there. I was kinda starting to talk to myself already. =P

I'm going for Richie Jen's concert this weekend. It'll be held in Genting. I hope the weather will be fine. Not too cold, not too hot. And don't rain, please! Haha.. =P

Random:
# I've a throat ulcer, so I can't eat properly.. =(
# Have u ever wondered why people enjoy one night stand so much?
# I feel like eating ice-cream now.

Chinz: I don't know but my family's sure that this cat (I posted a pic in my June 15 2004 blog entry) was an EX of my previous cat. Haha.. I think most male animals (including cats) are more flexible. They just really want to mate (and may be to produce more - their nature). So I guess, yea, my previous cat was a "play boy". *LoL*.. And yes, the female cat is still in my area but I don't rear her. She's a stray cat.

Haha. You see, there are crazy people like me who answers all silly questions too! =D

Cya'll! Hope Genting's gona be fun! ;)))
