Sperms competition.. ?

Haha.. Someone did a search on my post's title, *points up*, and my blog was listed on one of the search engines.

"Sperms competition"??? AHaha.. *scratches head* What does it mean anyway? Sounds funny, literally.. ;P

Fire! FIRE! ... Fire?

You know, we often hear sirens and usually the "bomba" or "polis" or "ambulan" will be heading to somewhere not near our homes.

Today, I heard the siren (again), and it gradually became louder (sometimes it does), but then it became EVEN louder, and I actually saw the siren (lights) outside MY window. The bomba (fire brigade) stopped at my area. I was like "What happpened????!?"

Quickly opened the door to see what the heck was going on. Was pretty alarmed. After a few seconds, a young man approached the firemen & explained briefly what happened. He did that very calmly. I was quite relieved that everyone was quite relaxed, but wanted to make sure if everything was REALLY alright. Went out of the house to check, and *phew!*.. Didn't see any black smoke or whatsoever. Asked the fireman later if everything was okay, he said "Yea, everything's fine. No biggie"..

It kinda scared me. It made me think: "What if the fire was really huge? What would we do? Would anyone knock on our doors and warn us? What belongings would we take with us? Would there be enough time to be greedy and take ALL valubles with us? What will happen to our house? Would we have a home still? What would we do if we've no where to stay? AND we still have classes to attend, workplace to go to.. How long would it take for us to find a new & comfortable place? Would we have the money to buy a new place anyway? What happens next?"

Hehe.. Not that I didn't think about it before. It was a longgg time ago since I thought & actually *did* prepare some clothes in case of emergency. Heeh! ;) AND, this is NOT the first time that the fire brigade came. The last time, i think someone's kitchen was on fire, and a minor explosion happened. =P. I was out of the house, so, yea. =P. *Sigh*.. I love my house. It's at least a comfortable place for me to stay & sleep at. Really thank God that nothing happened! We should count our blessings, everyday. ^_^

Daddy VS Malaysian Idol

Reminder: I'm moving to a new domain (website) soon. Will let u know soon enough. =)

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Actually this happened last week. My dad was reading the newspapers, and got to know that there isn't only American Idol but also Malaysian Idol. "Girl, there's Malaysian Idol wor..". I was busy with photoshop, so I gave short answers, "Yea.." Outta my expectations, he asked me:

"So you're gona take part in Malaysian Idol?", he assumed that I already thought about it, (which of course I already had. HAha)..

My whole family knows that I love to sing. Hehe.. I was pretty surprised that he actually didn't mind me going for it. I thought if I discussed with him that I'm thinking of participating in Malaysian Idol, he might comment something like "All u can think of is just singing, huh?". But.. Yay! Hehehe.. Props for my daddy! ;D

Haha.. Lemme get to the point. My dad asked me if I were gonna take part in the competition, right? I answered:

"Not this year"

When I told MY about this, he laughed and thought that it was funny, cos I sounded so professional. Haha..

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Btw, this is a nice link to visit. Got it from Chinz. Haha.. It's quite silly. Sometimes cute. Some people might find it funny. Oh, and despite the sillyness, I like the way the whole song / tune / harmonising goes! ;D

I don't want to turn ugly..

Just came back from a yum cha session. hehe.. Despite the tiredness, I had a niceeee chat with WL, KS, and WS. All thanks to WS to initiate a meet up. Heeh! ;))

A long time since I asked "self evaluation" questions and got the proper answers. *LoL*.. Something productive from our chatting session. Hehehe..

They also told me to change my hairstyle. To shorter hairstyles. I know I look better when I've short hair, I honestly do.. But it's like the first time I've left such long hair ever since I cut my hair when I was 7. Will think about it. I need some adjustments anyway. Haha.. Need to take care of my image. I actually CARE a lot about my image, it DOES matter, really. I just usually take them for granted, and that is why I seem like I don't care much bout it.. =PP.. *BIG sigh*.. I canNOT look ugly. I must look AT LEAST normal / average. Not that I look ugly now lar.. Erm, unless u think so? =P *Haihhz*...

Guess I can't be stubborn and think small little things like "plucking eyebrows" aren't essential. I guess they are slowly becoming MUST do(s). I'm often taking things for granted, including my looks. *sighhhhh*

Ah-hem! I did not mean I'm the oh-so-pretty-and-beautiful looking young lady. Hehe.. I think I've explained myself enough in the above paragraphs. So there you go. I should start taking good care of my image. Must maintain! That was a self note. ;)

On the telephone..

Reminder: I'm moving to a new domain (website) soon. Will let u know soon enough. =)

Just faced an internet connection problem. Tried to reset the modem etc, but it didn't work. Didn't want to wait till the teleco working hours were over. So I called the company up. Pressed a number for "technical assistance".

Spoke to a man, and it was quite soft. He had his accent which sounded like he likes to eat up his words / talk too fast. Beared with it, though I did say "Sorry?" (pardon) quite a number of times. Finally hung up, and did as he told me to. "Experimented" with the modem, etc a bit. And proved that his statement "It's most likely ur hardware problem, not ur connection", wrong.

If u were wondering, yes, I could finally get online. But I was curious & all. So, me wanting to know what went wrong with the connection (if it most likely wasn't the hardware problem nor the line problem, what could it be then?), I called for technical assistance again. Now, this woman who answered my call sounded like she JUST got up in the morning. (I can sound like that too, if u wake me up from my beauty sleep). What a first impression. =P. Anyways, I thought she probably sounded so cos she was gona fall asleep as she didn't get a call for long; She might sound better in a bit -- because she is already handling a customer (me)! But, who would have thought so..? She sounded even worse than the man I spoke to earlier... She sounded VERY draggy, like she's feasting on her words that they almost sound like she's mumbling, only a littllllle louder. (I hope she doesn't USUALLY sound like that.. ehhehe.. ;P)

I didn't care much at first, cos it was my turn to tell my part of the story. I told her about my last call to the center + what the man told me. Also told her I managed to prove the man wrong, etc. She listened to me, and then asked questions like "Oh, so u had a line problem just now?" .. Which I told her specifically that i DID NOT have a line prob since the beginning ; "So u can't seem to connect to the net now, is it? .. Which I told her I could, but just want to know what went wrong exactly AS the man I spoke to just now didn't exactly answered it correctly.

At this point of time, I wanted to tell her that :
1, I dislike the way she speaks, so SPEAK UP + don't mumble!
2, Has she been listening to what I said for the past few minutes?

She either :
# Didn't bother to understand what my question were about,
# Was too eager to help solve the LINE problem that she assumes ALL customers ask the same thing,
# Was too sleepy to pay attention to any customer's calls.

Anyway, ahah. I got what I want at the end of the day - an answer, so that I know what is going on. Which made me satisfied.. ;)). She admitted that it happens sometimes - the line has no problem, they just have to reset my connection. Though, there are still chances where sometimes my hardware can be the one contributing to my connection problems. Thank you, lady! ;)

Now something else, this link will take u to an article, man divorces wife over plastic surgery secret, in The Star newspaper. If that link doesn't work, search for "Man divorces wife over plastic surgery secret" at http://thestar.com.my. A little erm, funny. Hehe.. ;P

The lasting lousy weather

*Sighhhhh*

The weather these few days are so... hot AND stuffy! I think it never really happened before. Not for so long...

This is an article written in The Star Newspaper. I searched for "weather".

PETALING JAYA: The current hot weather in most parts of the Klang Valley is expected to last until September due to the south-west monsoon. The Meteorological Service said, during this period, the daily temperature could soar up to 37 degrees Celsius.

Currently, the daily maximum and minimum temperatures were averaging 35 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively, said a spokeswoman. “The entire west coast of Peninsula Malaysia will experience similar warm weather for the next few months resulting from dry winds brought by the south-west monsoon,” she said when contacted yesterday.

She said the peninsula’s west coast was forecast to experience occasional morning rain followed by fair weather for the rest of the day. During the same period, the east coast is expected to experience isolated rain over several inland areas, she said.

*sigh*.. A long time more to suffer? And I think it hasn't been raining for at least 4 days already... =\\\. Btw, I don't think they're "DRY winds". I mean, it's humid. It's hot & damp ;Not hot & dry.

My name's on the front page of The Star newspaper today! *LoL*. I mean Sonia Gandhi's. Haha.. ;P

Sexual temptations - even in ur head, it is one

Reminder: I'm moving to a new domain (website) soon. Will let u know soon enough. =)

I just read some christian journals, and boy, are they interesting to read =)

Anyways, this article is about porns OR lustful thoughts etc - That not only MALES face it, females do too. And she's being real honest in her posts. ;)

Btw, as naive as I was, I really didn't know (till secondary 4 or so) that there are MANY females who masturbate. I only found out by reading some Q&A part of some HK magazine. I thought a man's sex drive was greater, and it was too common amongst guys to masturbate (AND, science also said something like the sperms to get outta the body, so that the testicles or something would be healthy, blablabla.. Even if men don't masturbate, they'll get wet dreams). I did ask a few guys about this, they said NO, it wasn't true for them - not everyone has wet dreams.

Hmmmmm.. okayyy..

Dunne leh. Hehe.. But really, ireneq.com has interesting articles / blog entries posted. So far, I read more on the "Hearts & Flowers" category. Nice read. =). Oh yea. She also mentioned bout a guy, Scott, bout his determination to keep his thoughts pure (which is the most difficult thing to do, I reckon - cos ppl can't see what ur thinking which makes it easier to not change the polluted thinking of ours). Recommended for christians, especially.

Btw, when I say "especially", I mean, EVERYONE should read it (cos it makes god sense. Hehe. ;P), just that Christians should LAGI (even more) read it. ;)

Side note: Yay! Hehehe.. MY said I've my own guestbook, so I don't need to find for a free provider already! =D

P/S: But if u still have suggestions, I'm happy to listen to them! =))

We shall learn from the tribes too.. ;)

Happy Mother's day! ( Haha.. A day late edi.. =P ).. Didn't do much on Sunday, just had dinner out to celebrate this day.

My dad was discussing about a topic, and his thoughts bout it during dinner. It's very logical, and we should really give it some thoughts.

He introduced the topic with what he saw on some documentary clip, about a tribe in China. The men don't work, and they stay in another village. The women however stay with the family & do all the work. Couples seldom see each other, as the women will be working a lot, and the men has to travel for quite a long time to reach the women's village.

My dad then went on sharing his thoughts. His point was, we (especially M'sian Chinese) now live in a society where the womem will shift in with the men's family after getting married (or stay out - in a seperate house). He said, in general, girls / daughters are the ones who take care of the parents - that is, if anything were to happen (eg: parents fall ill ~ have to stay home & nurse parents). Plus, females are in general, more sensitive compared to men. Therefore, if they live with their in-laws and if any arguements (or the likes) occur, females will suffer more. And the husband will have to deal with both sides etc, everything will be very complicated to handle.

He suggested that we (society) should think on behalf of the well being of everyone (or to have an easier life, *LoL*). If the men were to shift into his in-law's house (or at least stay nearer to his in-laws), things would be easier to handle - IF anything happens lar. Reason being, men are usually less sensitive & less "detailed minded" (haha.. if u get what i mean), they can cope easily (compared to the wife lar). Men are less emotional in that way. And the wife can easily go take care of her parents. What about his parents? Like I said, usually the nursing etc, are done by the daughters. Somehow.

It is logical, very.. huh? ;)
Btw, the Malays in Malaysia, the guy moves into his in-laws. Hehe.. No wonder they have less problem in that area (I think).

What do you think bout this whole idea?

And yea.. I think it's somehow our (females) nature to be more sensitive etc. We are made like this. I guess no matter how much we wana be the same (as capable etc) as men, we would still have our feminine nature / characteristics. (Not saying we can't be as capable, just we'll not be exactly as what men are. It'll be a lil different). Muahaha! That's what makes us unique as a female. Oklar. Of course everyone's unique. Hehe.. Anyways, do u think this entry is like a mother / daughter / female day tribute? Co-incidently only lar. ;))

Do u know this song?

Reminder: I'm moving to a new domain (website) soon. Will let u know soon enough. =)

Hey ppl. My house's still in a mess, but it's better than the first few days.. At least it's not as dusty anymore.. ;)

This is one of the songs that I likeee. =D. Thanks Kelvin, for the lyrics! =)) Actually I stole it from his site. *LoL*.. ;PP

I'd sing it (demo only lar) if I already asked MY for the link to log in our new domain. (So that those ppl who don't know this song can listen to it. ;D). Hehe.. But too bad loo. I haven't asked him yet.

So You Would Come
(Verse 1)
Before the world began,
You were on His mind,
Every tear you cry,
Is precious in His eyes,
Because of His Great Love,
He Gave His only Son,
Everything was done, so you would come..

(Verse 2)
Nothing You can do,
Could make Him love You more,
And nothing that you've done,
Could make Him close the door,
Because of His great Love,
He gave His only Son,
Everything was done, so you would come..

(CHORUS)
Come to the Father,
Though your gift is small,
Broken hearts, broken lives,
He will take them all,
The power of the Word,
The power of His Blood,
Everything was done,
So You Would Come.

Hmm.. Mayyyy be a demo soon? Cos this song's just so beau-ti-ful. ;))

Bored, and stuck to be bored ; No more idol (?)

*sobs*.. My house is in a mess. It's dusty & dirty. It'll be like this for 2 more days.

We're doing some changes in our house - the look & feel of it. I can't online for 2 more days? =\\.. The only reason that I'm online now is: my parents are out, and we've cleaned + mopped the floor. I'm sure they'll (parents) not like me to online, when the house is in this condition. =P *sigh*... I mean, ergh.. So boring -- Whole day nothing to do, just stay home & watch the workers do their stuffs. =P

Oh ya. Haha.. Something happened this afternoon. A worker went out to get some materials, so the door was open. A guy selling stuffs / asking for donation CAME INTO my house. I was gona walk out to see who was it, and he was ALREADY in the house. I gave him a weird look and said this "Why did u come in??", he slowly backed out, and said "Don't scold me ar...". *LoL*. But, how can u go into ppl's house without any permission?! That was scary man..

I sorta haven't much mood to go for the Malaysian Idol audition already. I mean, I know my voice ain't getting any better. I really need to stabilize my voice first. When am I going to go for vocal training ?? =\\\.. I've been waiting for years... =(

Any suggestions for a good guestbook provider? Appreciate it. =)

Other people's pictures & my comments..

Hehehe.. I don't have anything special to blog. But I do have a reminder though (and I'm gona remind u in my every post. Haha.. =P)

Reminder: I'm moving (my blog) to a new domain soon (say in a week's time or so?). The archives will still be here tho. So yea, please take note. Meanwhile stay tuned for more updates. Heeh! ;D

I wana talk about American Idol and fashion( clothings ). First, clothings.. Hehe.. KL fashion week was on Sunday, rite? I saw a few pics in The Star Newspaper.

Pur ur mouse over the pics for description / comments. ;))

!! EDIT -- fotopic.net is recently doing site maintenance, so the image doesnt load here. And it spoils my layout / site's look. So now, u've to click on the link to view the pics / thumbnails. ;) Sorry to trouble u guys -- EDIT !!

This is the link to all 4 dresses.

# Thumbnail 4: The dress on ur right: I'm sure u'd agree that this dress looks elegant. So nice, with some Asian taste/touch in it. Ahhh. Nice combination, I feel. =)
# Thumbnail 3: Eventho this dress looks typically simple, but they simply finished it off with matching jewellery which makes this dress look hmm.. 'Nice enough, after all' ? =P
# Thumbnail 2: I know this looks too simple & so 'no design'. Haha.. But personally, I thought the colour, shape, flow of the dress wasn't really easy to come out with. I'd say it's a good combination of simplicity. Good job. ;)
# Thumbnail 1: Muahahaha.. Last but not least, my favourite dress of the whole lot. Simple enough, with some style/flow to make sure it's not TOO simple that it becomes boring. =))  Yea.. From now u'd guess that my taste is more towards simple. ;D

Now about American Idol. Just wana share some of my opinins.

I agree that she looks so much better in her straightened hair, but to me.. I dunno, But it felt like it was a different Jennifer Hudson. Like a lil personality lost there. Anyways, SHE has started to grow during the competition (after singing "The Circle of Life" -- It was good, coming out from her!), but *sigH*.. So wasted. I guess she wasn't popular enuf, compared to the others.

George is really a potential. He grew through out the competition. He keeps on getting better, and he's popular too. All the best to him.

As for Fantassia and Latoya, they are good singers too. Especially Fantassia, cos she has the talent IN her, that Latoya has to work @ sing hard to be there (vocally). Both are them are good. John Stevens has a good unique, potential voice, but he didn't really grow throughout the competition. He really has a lot of fans, I'm guessing. He was safe for so many weeks. Anyhow, he did try his best (especially when singing Crocodile Rock. Hehe.. that was so funny & cute!). As for Jasmine, she has potential too, but sadly, her voice's not versatile enough. She needs more training. But, she sounds so nice. I really really admire her voice (when she sings good, that is). x))

Joy is in the air ; AF rules! ;D

Hehe.. As I mentioned, I have been busy for the past few days. It's so nice to be going out again! *LoL*. I dislike staying (too much) at home. Eventhough I am quite a homely person, I can't just STAY at home. Haha.. I'll get bored, I think? I don't know how to put it, but, u can say so lar.

The stayover was quite fun! Heheh.. Had lotsa girl talk. Haha.. I know some of u might be rolling eyes by now (especially the guys! =P), but it was totally fun, ok. We don't get to do that often! *grins* If MS came earlier, we could've talked more! She went to collect some freebies, so we were all cool with it. If I were her, I'd go too! Why lose out on those, rite? Haha.. They are OK FREE stuffs! *LoL*! And u know what? I got to webcam with Meng Yean!! Haha... *sigh*... But he was the one who saw me; I didn't see him. But happy enough. =D. I know how much that'd mean to him & as long as he's happy, I am too. =))). HEheheh.. THANK YOU, AF !!! U rule! *broad smile*
=D

Just developed my film, haha.. So the youth camp pics are finally available. =P. Btw, I'll show u the cuteee doorstop MY got me! Prolly after I shift to the new domain. U have to suggest a name for it later, when u see it. ;))
