Just say "so far so good"
Everytime someone asks me how's work? I always answer them "so far so good". I think that's the best SHORT answer I can give. It sums everything up.
- I'm learning more at work - I think I'm doing OK but I can be better - My colleagues in the office are mostly nice people - My colleague (same department) is a very nice & helpful person - My superior is not great & not easy to work with - But she's not THAT bad either. (some ppl will disagree though) - But really, compared to someone else, she's not EXTREMELY bad. - I think God put me here for a reason - Most importantly, I'm doing OK at work - Some work stuff/issues can be better, but it's ok.
By replying "so far so good", I don't need to go into details (because that statement makes a lot of sense to me), especially if it is inappropriate to share more information about work / my superior that frustrates me. When needed OR prompted by someone I think I can share more stuff about, I can elaborate more on that statement. If not, people would just move on to another question. Nice, eh?
Note to self: Yay! This post is actually written based on 4 words only ("so far so good")! I should learn how to talk like this at work. Then trouble'finders' won't get any juicy stuff from me, cos I'll just be repeating on the same thing. Yay.
