The MI audition - 11 June 2004
I just got home. Tired... Will upload the wav file of my singing + some pics when I can.
Anyway, for Malaysian Idol, you just have to show youself at Berjaya Timesquare on your audition date, and:
1. Register
2. Wait for ur turn (It takes hours. =P. Took me more than 4 half hours! =P)
3. Will be gathered into a group of 10
4. Go with ur group to the waiting area
5. Wait for ur turn to sing (After they roll the camera)
6. Wait for results. And byebye
How it went for me? Well...
i. I was auditioned by 3 female judges (All girls?!??)
ii. One judge stopped me when I haven't even sang the chorus part of the song. She requested me to sing a malay song for the chorus part... (Bias?? And I didn't prepare a malay song actually. I didn't prepare my Getaran Jiwa. =P)
iii. Explained that I don't know any, and if I even knew, I wouldn't know the lyrics.
iv. They excused me. NEXT!
v. Waited for my 'group members' to finish singing.
vi. I was surprised to be called in to resing the song. Only with a verse more (the chorus part only, no bridge)
vii. Acted a bit stupid in front of the judges this time (You'll know it IF u see it on TV.. =P)
viii. Forgot to infrom judes the reason for my actions (which is VERY reasonable.. =P. Felt dumb again. =P)
ix. More dumb - I forgot to ask for feedback! I mean, they MUST BE considering something (or found sumtin interesting bout my voice to ask ONLY me into the audition room AGAIN). So why no feedbacks?!? I want!
x. Went downstairs and were gathered in the results room.
xi. So near, yet so far. I didn't get into the next stage.
Last note:
I just saw on 8TV, that MANY people who did much worse passed the 1st audition, which is pretty unfair. I've many many more comments actually. Why not you guys just go ask MY about it? =P. Hehehe.. Not nice for me to say them myself. I duwana sound so.... proud? (can't think of a more suitable word to use -lar) =P.. ;)
